I'm genuinely not sure where to begin with this blog. The actual beginning of Doodlebags was a long time ago, and I will delve into that from time to time on here, but for now I'll start by saying that this relaunch was born out of necessity (more about that in due course) but is also in response to a long held desire to reignite my creative passion.
The process of reviving the brand began with ideas that simply wouldn't stop flowing; that initial energy has been temporarily slowed however by the need to juggle all the practical aspects involved, such as building our website, reorganising storage to house newly acquired fabrics, selecting which products to focus on and tweaking original designs, deciding the best ways to market and sell our work, and the biggest practical consideration of all, which is making something to sell.
I'm confident it will all come together in time, but for now I've decided to launch the website (even though it's incomplete) and take everything else one step at a time.......

The first craft market doodlbags had a stall at was the Mansion Market at Michael Hall Waldorf School in Forest Row on 12th February 2011. My product range was small, and I had no idea how my work would be received: I was thrilled when I made my first sale.
